Data collected on the basis of consent

Upon your request and expression of consent, we collect the following data for the purpose of providing services to you. Your data is not used for any other purposes or shared with third parties. It is removed upon your withdrawal of consent or your request to terminate theses services.

Comments or Ratings

Age-group (13-17, 18-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65+), location (country or larger region), gender, content of the comment: this data is collected when you rate or leave a comment and may be displayed on the Website.

If you leave a comment, rate something or are logged-in on the Website, a unique ID will be saved in cookies to prevent double ratings. These cookies will be saved on your computer until you delete them.

Retention period: the aforementioned data is retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve any follow-ups automatically.

Data collected on the basis of legitimate interest

Based on our legitimate interests, we collect the following data for the purpose of running this website. Your data is not used for any other purposes or shared with third parties. It is removed upon your request.

Language preference (functional cookie)

If you choose a language (EN, DE or FR) on the Website, a first-party cookie named lang stores that choice (the value “en”, “de” or “fr”) so the Website is shown in the language you chose on later visits. It is set only when you make that choice, is not used for any other purpose or shared with third parties, and expires after one year (Path=/, SameSite=Lax, Secure). As a functional cookie for a setting you made yourself, it does not require consent. You can delete it at any time in your browser.

Name for comments (functional cookie)

If you type your name when leaving a comment on a review page, a first-party cookie named bw_name stores that name so it is filled in automatically the next time you comment on this device. It is set only when you type a name, is not used for any other purpose or shared with third parties, and expires after one year (Path=/, SameSite=Lax, Secure). As a functional cookie for information you provided yourself, it does not require consent. You can delete it at any time in your browser.

Data collected only with your consent (cookie banner)

The following services run only if you agree to the corresponding category in our cookie banner. Before you decide, none of them starts and the website sends them no data, not even cookieless signals; this applies to all visitors, including visitors from Switzerland. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer. Details on each service are in our privacy policy.

Improving the site

Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) shows us how the website is used, for example which pages are viewed and where visitors leave; it sets cookies and processes usage data such as the pages viewed, time of the visit, device, browser, approximate location and a pseudonymous identifier. Microsoft Clarity records individual visits under a pseudonym (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling) and creates heatmaps; what you type into form fields is masked.

Ads & company visits

The Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform and let Meta show you more relevant ads there. Dealfront (Dealfront Group GmbH) identifies the company behind a visit from the IP address, so that we can approach interested companies; it does not tell us who you are as a person.

Server-side tagging

Measurement data first goes to our own server container (Google Tag Manager, server version, operated on our behalf by Stape Europe OÜ, Estonia, hosted in the EU), which forwards to each service only what your consent allows.

Improving the site

Helps us understand how the site is used: which content gets read and where visitors drop off. We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity (records individual visits under a pseudonym).

Ads & company visits

Lets us measure how our advertising on Facebook and Instagram performs, show you more relevant ads there and see which companies are interested in what we offer. We use the Meta pixel (also server-side through the Conversions API) and Dealfront, which identifies the company behind a visit.
